Frequently Asked Questions

We live for the details, and believe that transparency is the future of food - so for us, nothing is off limits and no question is a bad question. Here's a list of some of the most common questions we get, but always feel free to reach out to our team.

Farming, Feed, and Animals

We believe the food you eat should be raised
with respect. All our meats come from
animals raised on our farm. This guarantees our cattle graze on lush, well-tended
pastures, our pigs and chickens receive the most nutritious food, and all are
raised together, holistically in nature, and harvested humanely. This style of
farming is difficult, but highly gratifying. We raise our animals to feed our own families, and are blessed to be
able to share our farm products with you, our customer.

Yes, Hidden Waters Farm practices regenerative
agriculture.  Regenerative agriculture
takes a holistic approach, utilizing animals, plants, and nature in a system
that enhances the soil health, which in turn helps the environment.  The animals benefit by being raised in an environment
that utilizes nature’s own processes so that manmade inputs such as antibiotics,
hormones, and other chemicals become unnecessary.  The result is wonderfully delicious, highly
nutritious meats.

Our produce fields are certified Organic.  However, we believe in transparency rather
than certifications. Our livestock is raised on our farm, in full view of our
visiting customers.  We never use
chemicals on our farm or on our animals.

Yes! All our feed is GMO free and so are the seeds we sow. In addition, our chickens and pigs are Soy-free.

We administer antibiotics on extremely rare occasion only if
necessary to save an animal’s life, and then that animal is not sold in our market. We do not use antibiotics proactively. We
NEVER give any type of hormones to our animals. We also do not vaccinate our ruminants or our pigs.  We have found that the natural processes of regenerative farming makes vaccinations
unnecessary.

100% grass fed and grass finished. We don’t feed our cattle
any grains whatsoever.

Yes, our beef is dry aged to perfection for at least 21
days. This ensures a tender and bold flavor experience.
